Every Sunday the Stone Soup Community Garden has an all-call work party from 11AM-1PM. Everyone is welcome to come help us water, weed, clean & harvest vegetables with us. Please help our garden grow – many hands make light work!

The Stone Soup Community Garden provides locally grown vegetables for a number of Bread Line’s projects: our morning chef, at the Stone Soup Cafe, uses the vegetables to bolster our morning meals with hearty greens; the chef for our summer Food Service Program uses the vegetables to create the healthy and wholesome meals that feed school children who receive free or reduced price lunches during the school year’ and this season we plan on providing fresh garden salads to the residents of the downtown assisted living apartments.

This is the 3rd year of Bread Line’s Stone Soup Community Garden at 11th Ave. and Lacey St. It is a thriving place because of local volunteers. Last year, garden volunteers harvested over 2,000lbs of food. We are excited to grow even more food this year and have set a goal of harvesting 2,500lbs!
