The Third Annual Former Fairbanks Foodies Fundraiser and Wine Pairing was a grand success!

fairbanks-foodie-fundraiser-featured-postThe event was held October 21 and 22 at Stone Soup Cafe and featured guest chef Sabrina Tinsley . Sabrina, born and raised in Fairbanks, is now the Executive Chef and co-owner of La Spiga Osteria in Seattle. Sabrina has even been an Iron Chef contender against Bobby Flay.

With help from past and present students and chef instructors from our Stone’s Throw culinary job training program, Tinsley created an inspired four-course northern Italian-inspired feast that served more than 100 people over two evenings. In addition to great food, guests enjoyed a great evening as they supported the programs of Bread Line, Inc.

Local sommelier, Bruce Abbot, carefully paired each dish with delicious Italian wines, generously donated by K & L Distributors.
