Thank you Fairbanks AmeriCorps Vistas for harvesting the Stone Soup Community Garden!  We really appreciate your hard work and dedication.  Thanks for choosing to help out the Bread Line for the September 11th National Day of Service and Remembrance!

For National Day of Service, our Fairbanks AmeriCorps Vistas volunteered all day for the Bread Line – doing general harvest and harvest of major crops in the Stone Soup Community Garden.  The Vistas dug up potatoes and carrots which will go towards feeding hungry guests at the Stone Soup Cafe.  And on top of their hard work in the garden, this amazing group took the time and made chocolate chip, snicker doodle and peanut butter cookies for the Stone Soup Cafe!

The Bread Line team is also proud to host our very own AmeriCorp Vista – Sydney Vaught.  Sydney has spent the last few months working hard to create analytical assessments on food insecurity specific to Fairbanks, Alaska.  Her work will directly impact the issue of hunger in Fairbanks in the future!
