💛April is National Volunteer Appreciation Month & we have some serious appreciating to do!💛
The Bread Line is a volunteer-run nonprofit. In 2020 – throughout the COVID-19 pandemic – Fairbanksans put in well over 3,000 hours of volunteer time between the Bread Line’s four anti-hunger programs. Volunteers like YOU helped serve 48,882 meals at the Stone Soup Cafe last year! You run our Kid’s Cafe program, too! Volunteers teach critical life skills (like resume writing & positive self-talk) in the Stone’s Throw culinary job training program. You also planted, watered, weeded, tended & harvest thousand of pound of produce annually from the Stone Soup Community Garden – fresh vegetables that alleviate food insecurity locally in a number of ways.
We are grateful for you & all the help you give. Without YOUR help, none of the Bread Line’s work is possible. Volunteers like YOU are #FeedingFairbanks, teaching, growing, loving & showing the way to a better tomorrow. Thank you, Fairbanks, for being our Golden Heart City.
