Our very own Chef Liann is presenting her impressive culinary skills at this Wednesday’s “Chef at the Market,” 11AM-2PM, at the Tanana Valley Farmer’s Market! This week’s vegetable spotlight is ZUCCHINI and Liann will demonstrate how to make zucchini arrolata – a grilled “plank” of zucchini rolled up with goat cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, vegetables and herbs. She will also have a fresh vegetable curry for people to sample.
Liann has 15 years experience in the food service industry and has been an avid home cook all her life. After graduating Stone’s Throw in December 2015, she went on to work with the Chartwell Team at UAF. She has been involved with several high-profile local food events such as Arctic Science Summit Week 2016, Sotomayor 2016 and Arctic Interchange 2017. She is now the Production Chef for the Stone’s Throw Program.
Coordinated by the Fairbanks Economic Development Corporation, Chef at the Market brings local chefs to the Tanana Valley Farmer’s Market to demonstrate ways to prepare fresh Alaskan-grown produce! Chef at the Market is every other Wednesday from 11AM – 2PM!
