Across ALL anti-hunger charities in Fairbanks, food donations are down & service use is up – more people need help & there is less available to provide it. Here, at the Bread Line, we’ve watched out once-full pantry shelves dwindle. It has been 10 days since there has been produce available at the Fairbanks Community Food Bank – one of our main sources of food for the Stone Soup Cafe, where we serve over 27,000 hot, nutritious meals every year.
In an effort to be self-sustaining, we grow our own produce in the beautiful Stone Soup Community Garden but – until our garden grows enough to harvest – we need help! If you can, please donate fresh produce and canned vegetables to the Bread Line, anytime between 10AM & 5PM Monday-Friday. As a 501(c)3 nonprofit, we can provide tax-deductible donation receipts and all the gratitude you can handle!
