catalyst kitchens national summit

Did you know the Bread Line’s Stone’s Throw culinary job training program is a member of Catalyst Kitchens?  This network is a team of social impact entrepreneurs committed to breaking the cycle of joblessness, poverty and hunger in America today. Our chef instructors, Liann Peryea and Sara Sedriks, have been awarded travel scholarships to attend the upcoming Catalyst Kitchens Summit September 5th-7th in North Carolina.  But Bread Line still needs to come up with funds for accommodation, transportation and meals.  Could you help and make a donation towards the rest of their travel expenses?

As a frugal nonprofit, Bread Line’s chefs are staying in an Air BnB and using Lyft for transportation.  The goal for this fundraiser is $650 for the three-day event.

The Bread Line chefs have an important opportunity to learn more about the root causes of hunger and joblessness.  This summit will explore the role of culinary job training as a tool to break the cycle of poverty.  With your help, Liann and Sara will bring back techniques to improve the reach and results of the Stone’s Throw program.

Liann and Sara are dedicated to empowering lives through job training – will you help them make an even more significant impact on lives in our community?
