Summer is here and Chef At The Market has begun!  On Tuesdays from 4 – 7pm – the Bread Line’s very own Chef Liann will be at the South Side Community Market!  Chef Liann will demonstrate ways to prepare and cook fresh Alaskan grown produce.  Stop by the outdoor farmers market at 24th Ave. & Rickert St. to see what the Chef is cookin’!

 

 

About the South Side Community Farmers Market: 

“Southside is an outdoor food market, located on the corner of 24th and Rickert St. in the South Cushman neighborhood. Launched in 2015 by Calypso Farm and Ecology Center, the market features fresh produce and food products from local growers and vendors.

Mission: The Southside Community Farmer’s Market is a friendly, community-focused, seasonal market featuring local farmers. The Market is dedicated to making high quality, fresh food available to all members of our community.

Use Your Food Benefits at the Southside:
We offer a 50% DISCOUNT on Food Stamps/EBT, and accept Senior Coupons (SFMNP) and WIC! Pay vendors directly with your food benefits (they will have the ability to swipe EBT cards) OR exchange your benefits for “tokens” that can be used at each vendor. The market will have an information booth handling food benefit transactions and assistance.
