A message from the Bread Line’s Executive Director, Hannah C. Hill:

They say that change is the only constant & that is something I’ve been reflecting on a great deal recently. My tenure at the Bread Line has been informed by every single person who has supported this commUNITY anti-hunger work since the Bread Line began #FeedingFairbanks in 1984. I’ve had the great fortune to learn from the founders of the Bread Line as well as the two Directors before me. Past board members, previous staff & erstwhile volunteers are still present in this work. Each one is part of what this wonderful organization is today. 

The universal flux of the Bread Line is part of its enduring strength: we change, we grow & we learn with each other.

Few things in my life have been more rewarding (or challenging) than working at the Bread Line & – after ten incredible years with this dream team – it is time for me to move on. This fall, I am stepping down as Director to welcome the next person who will steward the Bread Line into its exciting next chapters.

The Bread Line’s mission-motivated team is clever, committed & incredibly capable. We are rich in dedicated volunteers, are financially sound & have a strong board of directors. While there’s never a “good time” for a big change, there isn’t a group I trust more to do it right than this one. 

I’ve been blessed with a decade at the Bread Line & cannot be more proud of what we have accomplished here in that time. Thank you for being part of this wild ride – we can’t do it without you.
