Through a generous grant provided by the US Forest Service & administered by RurAL CAP, the Bread Line’s Stone Soup Community Garden is expanding to include a perennial food forest in downtown Fairbanks!

We’ve prepped the land & secured the lumber… now it’s time to BUILD! With the guidance of the talented craftspeople from the Folk School, there will be a garden bed building day on Saturday, August 31, 10AM-2PM, at the Stone Soup Community Garden.

By getting these raised beds completed now, we will be able to plant our food forest next season. Come join the work party: learn from the professionals, build the community garden & help our neighborhood achieve a higher level of food security… one perennial plant at a time!
