We may not have a lot, but we are absolutely rich in commUNITY & THAT makes anything/everything possible!

Have you heard about the “Community Hats & Mittens” project? With yarn donated by Calypso Farm and Ecology Center, & pattern printing donated by Date-Line Digital Printing, locals have been picking up FREE knit (or crochet) kits from Yarn Over & The Folk School to make hats &/or mittens for the folks who use the Bread Line’s anti-hunger programs.

There has been a steady stream of people who have used their time & talents to make sure that others stay warmer this year. It is such a touching, thoughtful & deeply needed act of community solidarity. We’re forever grateful for our friends at Calypso for coming up with this creative opportunity, all the organizations who made this project possible & to everyone who’s slipped the first stitch to help keep our community warm this winter.

Thank you all!
