The Soup Off is BACK!
This popular culinary competition between Fairbanks famous restaurants is the biggest annual fundraiser for the Bread Line. 2024 is also the Bread Line’s 40th anniversary of “feeding people & affirming lives” in Fairbanks – please come help us make this event special. At the Soup Off, you will sample dozens of delicious, freshly-made soups while bidding on silent auction items, listening to live music & have the opportunity to enter a raffle to win big! Raffle prizes include: two round trip tickets anywhere Alaska Airlines flies, a SIX POUND BAR OF SILVER & a catered SOUPer Bowl party with big screen TV!
Over the evening, local celebrity judges will taste every competing soup & award the grand prize of the “Golden Ladle” to the highest scoring contender. A prize for “Best Use of Local Ingredients” will also be presented to a winning soup. Ticket holders may vote for their favorites for the coveted “People’s Choice” award!Competing restaurants include: Oishi Kitchen, Lavelle’s Bistro, Soba, Lane’s Quickie Tacos, Aurora Mediterranean & Lemongrass… stay tuned as more restaurants are announced. Ticket purchase includes bidder number, complementary drink, bamboo spoon & compostable cup! Local libations are provided by Black Spruce Brewing.
