“Take a Camera, Have a Voice”
The Through Our Eyes Project will be in Fairbanks tomorrow! 100 disposable cameras will be distributed tomorrow – Friday, August 30th – at the Stone Soup Cafe from 7:30am to 10:30am. If you have been affected by homelessness, these cameras are an opportunity for you to share your story through photographs. Instruction about using the cameras will be given tomorrow morning during camera distribution.
Everyone who receives a camera will have one week to take pictures, to tell their story. On the seventh day, cameras will be returned and registered for a photography contest. The top entries will be featured in a month-long art gallery show and proceeds will be given to community organizations that work to end homelessness.
